Vice President, OperationsMs. Buley has been with MileStone since 1993 providing operational leadership, talent acquisition, personnel staffing and recruiting services. Working closely with the management team, Lana remains focused on ensuring fluid daily operations across all divisions of MileStone. In addition to her role in operations, she is responsible for the recruiting of physicians, executives, managers, and clinicians nationwide. With over 24 years of talent acquisition experience, Lana manages the entire recruitment process from start to finish including sourcing, screening, interviews, and employment offers. With strengths in communication and customer service, her commitment to employees and clients is evident in her enthusiasm. Lana received a Bachelor Degree in Organizational Leadership from Texas A&M University in Commerce, Texas, and is currently pursuing a Master of Science Degree in Organization, Learning and Technology with a focus on Corporate Training.
Regional Director of OperationsMs. Grace, has been with MileStone since 1997, she offers more than 20 years experience in the implementation and management of post-acute rehabilitation services. Her experience includes pre-opening planning, survey preparation, program development, case management, payor contracting, and marketing. Her long-standing history with the preparation of claims appeals across the post-acute continuum provides our clients with a thorough, “hands-on” understanding of the process and a proven track record – especially relevant with the increasing regulatory oversight and claims scrutiny. Gail received a Bachelor Degree in Health Services Administration from Arkansas State University and a Master of Business Administration from The University of Arkansas.
Program Development and Support SpecialistKaren holds over 20 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in post-acute settings including SNF, IRF and Behavioral Health. She has served in the capacity of Program Director for both Rehab and Behavioral Health and as a CNO for a rural hospital with a Senior Behavioral Health focus. Karen has provided leadership and hands-on support for inpatient program implementations as well as a free-standing Specialty Hospital. Her strengths include nursing leadership acumen, program development and team building. Karen obtained her nursing degree from Sinclair College in Dayton, Ohio.
Regional Director of OperationsKim began her career with MileStone in 1989 leading our Therapy Services Division. Her responsibilities were expanded to include program management in post-acute environments. Kim’s expertise in managing hospital-based therapy, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing, inpatient rehabilitation and behavioral health units allows her to design solutions and foster collaboration throughout the healthcare continuum. Her reputation with clients is grounded in her skills for effective analysis and strategic intervention. Kim is a Certified Instructor in Safety-Care Behavioral Safety Training.
Program Development and Support SpecialistAmy has over 35 years of experience as a physical therapist. She has owned and operated several Outpatient Therapy and Wellness Centers managing additional outpatient rehabilitation clinics including Industrial Rehab and several inpatient and outpatient therapy service contracts while continuing to treat patients. Amy assisted in the opening of an Orthopedic Specialty Hospital including design, work flow and regulatory compliance. Her strengths include up-to-date clinical skills, documentation and billing expertise, therapist education / skills competencies and cost effective clinic management strategies that support both quality patient care and regulatory requirements. Amy received her undergraduate degree in Physical Therapy and completed studies toward a Master in Health Administration from The Ohio State University.
Program Development and Support SpecialistRose joined MileStone Healthcare as a consultant for Inpatient Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing product lines. With over 40 years of experience in the health care industry, Rose has functioned in multiple, diverse roles including Program Director (Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit), Manager of Medical Review Unit (Insurance Company), Assistant Professor of Nursing (Academia) and, a Director of Nursing in the Long Term Care industry. Rose received her Diploma in Nursing as well as Bachelor Degree in Nursing with Master’s Degrees in both Science and Nursing. She is also a Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN), and offers training courses for CRRN examination preparation.
Director of AccountingAngie has been with the MileStone team since 1989, and has been involved in all financial aspects of MileStone Healthcare in her 30 years of service. Her responsibilities encompass accounting, budgeting, monthly analysis and internal controls, as well as account payables, receivables and payroll. Ms. Welch works closely with operations to ensure financial goals are met company-wide, as well as overseeing client financial, regulatory and reimbursement services. Angie received her Bachelor degree in Accounting from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston.
Senior Human Resources Director
Ms. Lockhart has been with MileStone since 1999 providing Human Resources Services and Support. Miranda’s broad experience includes benefits, employee relations, compliance reporting, and performance management. She remains engaged with managers and employees, providing policy process and structure to create a great MileStone Team. Miranda holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Cameron University and is also a member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM).
Luis Herrera joined MileStone Healthcare in 1997 and as the Information Technology Manager he is responsible for leading the company’s technology strategy and managing overall IT operations and customer service. His initiatives include improving service delivery through embracing effective and efficient use of technology; promoting online development opportunities; identifying opportunities for future technology enhancements; and leading strategic initiatives to transform the technology department to be flexible, adaptable and responsive to customer needs. Mr. Herrera also implemented and continues to oversee MileStone’s own tracker and census software, ensuring a smooth interface with our clients’ network systems.
